That's been happening every morning lately, so nothing unusual there. A little further along I spotted a little dot in my headlamp beam reflecting back at me so I went to check it out and here's what I found! I was getting a little carried away with pictures flashing in his face and forgot that I needed to pay attention to where momma was before she put the boots to me,lol. I got lucky finding this little guy, but I'll start targeting them in a couple weeks when they get their legs under them and start venturing out from where momma leaves them. I spotted another reflection today that tipped me off to this guy in the creek bottom. Just a tiny glimmer that I almost thought was a drop of dew on the grass shining back at me. Here's #2! I used to be the same way, but after my first random encounter I started actually looking for them in known fawning areas and now I can't keep them away. I like to follow these little ones around throughout the summer, and at some point, they eventually start to get used to me and follow me instead! dbHunterNY Posted June 12, 2014 Report Share Posted June 12, 2014 just don't touch them or if there's a doe around back off. the doe is around because it's feeding time otherwise the doe ignores it as to not attract attention to it. neighbors got 4 in the hay fields with the disc bine and my dad has gotten 2. hopefully there's still lots more to make it.
