Ravin R10 man
P.S. Yes Jerry, I agree, the ones who gave "ALL" was the intention. Edited May 25, 2014 by Mathews XT Man
Ultradog
It is a nice sentiment and all. But I do sometimes I think we're losing track of what Memorial Day is all about. We celebrate All our Veterans on Veteran's Day - November 11th. On Memorial Day we remember those who died in uniform. Big difference between the two. redkneck
Missed the post, but I agree I think we're losing sight of what the day is all about. Gone are the days of continent against continent with hundreds of thousands dying, now the numbers are much fewer, but may be a kid with a suicide vest in friendly territory that kills you. The constant news cycle with no apparent equivalent of "V.E. day" has numbed us I think. Asymmetrical warfare is the new norm, wars without victories or ends. Very sad. I for one am very thankful I'm not speaking German. Thanks to all who have served and are still with us
