Rhino
They are at it again...maybe never quit...subscription renewal scams through forms being mailed out by Publishers Billing Assoc. I've been getting them recently for every hunting magazine I have. The latest one was today and by coincidence I also got a renewal request directly from the magazine today too. Publishers Billing Assoc wants you to pay them 225% to 250% for the same magazine subscription you get directly from a magazine's renewal request. That doesn't take into account any special offers most hunting magazine subscriptions offer for early renewal either! Makes me wonder what this company will do once they have your account number off a check you send them too. Anyway...pay close attention to your magazine renewal notices. Turkeygirl
Is it just for Renewals? I think I've received those for nursing magazines...I just toss them out because the renewal price is rediculous, lol I'm still waiting though on a new subscription to Bowhunter Mag....wasn't a renewal, was a discount offer...I don't think it was through them. bellH
Magazine subscription scam does not happen on the internet but could happen in front of your doorsteps too. Always be wary of people selling stuff door to door, as a number are rip-off artists. In recent years, there have been many reports of door-to-door scams. So, don't be a victim. Know what to look for. To shun this incident from happening, installation of home alarm systems must be considered to allow monitoring and viewing of recorded videos.
