Help Me Out--Country fans

My wife and I were talking about a country song that was popular a few years back. The song was about a guy who has it all, leaves his wife, then realizes he had it all and wants to come back.

Here come the jokes, I know, but does anyone remember that song and who sung it? Seems to me it was a male artist, but past that, I can't remember.

Thanks

Re: Help Me Out--Country fans

The hill girls, Mildred and Patty, wrote "Good Morning to You" in 1893. The song was not a big hit until someone changed the words at a birthday party. Nobody knows who actually manipulated the words. But for birthdays, not many but four words is the all you need: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday to you,

Happy Birthday dear (insert name here),

Happy Birthday to you!

Is that it??

All that comes to mind is Montgomery Gentry's "She Couldn't Change Me", but that's the woman leaving and coming back.

Alan Jackson had a song out called "If I Had You" and it was about him making a mistake and wanting to get the girl back.

Can't seem to think of anything else. I'll sleep on it.

It was a while back but Randy Travis' "I Told You So" fits the bill, too.
