Turkeygirl
Thankfully for the almost 2 years I've had my car, no real issues...until lately. Had problems with a rear tire rim getting warm and a burning/melting odor, also a hum when driving...kind was off and on since the winter then recently got worse, was waiting for a family member to look at it but finally took care of it myself. Took it to the shop, ended up having to get both rear calipers, rotors, and brakes replaced...And was informed my front struts are starting to leak. Will probably take it back next week for the struts. My inspection is due in August so better now. I have a Kia Sportage and it's a great vehicle otherwise...held up well to one deer collision last December.
wtnhunt
How many miles on it Ruth? Shocks, struts, tires, and brakes unfortunately are all things that go with routine upkeep. I need to put brakes on the little Buick my daughter is driving and also on my 3/4 ton truck. Our Durango really needs the front struts replaced. Always something for me to work on. Turkeygirl
It's got something like 83,000 on it. I've had it almost 2 years now. Has to go back end of next week for the struts and I'll have to tell them it's still making the loud humming sound....not sure if it's a tire, bearing, or the strut. Sounds like coming from front, decreases if I take a right turn..pretty loud under 60 mph.

Any clicking sound? Hope they get it straight for you without it costing you too much.

Turkeygirl
Struts got done...and they replaced the wrong bearing....but going back this week they are going to replace the correct one free of charge. Also having a hitch put on. Going to get a small trailer for doing hay...use to borrow someone's truck but they sold it.
