oo_buck
Okay, I'm sure this has been discussed to death at one time or another. I however, missed it. Which one to buy? I have found new an 1100 "sportsman" for about $450.00, and an 11/87 "sportsman" new for about $480.00. What are the Pros and Cons with each? AJ
Re: Rem 1100 vs. Rem 11/87 It depends on what you want to do with the gun. The 1100 is a 2 3/4" chambered field gun and will not digest 3" magnums. The drawback to the 1100 was you had either a magnum version that would not cycle the light field loads, or you had a field or target gun that would not shoot 3" magnums. The 11-87 will eat any and all combinations of ammo. It has a regulating gas system that works with it all. For me, I would take the 11-87 as it is more versitile.
