Just another reason why I dispise the liberals in office .....

New York Bill Creates Anti-Hunting Office

From the USSA

A New York bill will create a new taxpayer funded office that will fight for the animal rights movement.

Assembly Bill 4306, introduced by Assemblyman Felix W. Ortiz, D-Brooklyn, will create an Office of Advocacy for Wildlife. The office will advise and assist almost every entity in the state including the governor, legislature, local governments, and state agencies on issues that pertain to wildlife conservation.

One of the office's objectives according to the bill will be to "study, develop, encourage, and provide assistance for non-lethal management of wildlife."

This objective is a covert move to introduce anti-hunting ideas into the scientific management of New York's wildlife.

Furthermore, the duties of the Office of Advocacy for Wildlife created by AB 4306 are already carried out by the state's Division of Wildlife and Department of Environmental Conservation. The Division and Department use scientifically based evidence when making wildlife management decisions. They have a stellar record of success in conservation and wildlife management. Assembly Bill 4306 is merely a vehicle to use tax dollars to advocate the political agenda of the anti-hunting movement.

Take Action! New York sportsmen should contact your assemblymen today and ask them to oppose AB 4306. Explain that the new office will contradict sound wildlife principles and duplicate services already performed by the Division of Wildlife. To contact your assemblyman, call (518) 455-2800 or use the Legislative Action Center at www.ussportsmen.org

Just say NO

Heres my letter......

Just say NO to AB 4306

I am strongly against [Assembly Bill 4306] introduced by Felix W. Ortiz, D-Brooklyn which will create an Office of Advocacy for Wildlife

Assembly Bill 4306 is a WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY!!!!

Simply because of the fact that the job is already being done by the state’s Division of Wildlife and Department of Environmental Conservation. The Division and Department use scientifically based evidence when making wildlife management decisions. They have a stellar record of success in conservation and wildlife management.

Assembly Bill 4306 is merely a vehicle to use tax dollars to advocate the political agenda of the anti-hunting movement.

I have enjoyed many years of the traditions and ethics of hunting taught to me by my father. I hope to have the chance to continue passing on the values learned while hunting taught to me...to my children.

This is America and while I can...I will stand up for the traditions that have made this country the greatest on earth!!!

Sincerely, Gary W. Smith

This is a political forum, thought that was what was being discussed. When I said the state was pretty messed up, I did not mean all the people in New York were messed up.

Yet when you get up toward Swamphunter and in the rural areas there are less than 3 people per sq mile.

Hey Hey now!!!!! shocked.gif That's not right!! Momma married brother but I'm OK grin.gif

Actually some parts of northern NY are very Democratic especially St. Lawrence County. I watched the numbers carefully when Hillary was elected. At about 7pm that night her opponent was winning then NY City cast there votes and he was trounced. If Rudy hadn't backed out she would have lost for sure.

Honestly I'm not sure how the votes went. She sure as heck didn't get mine.

Actually, I heard that Hillary did fairly well in some upstate areas, I don't know the exact numbers though. As far as a later comment about NY being a beautiful state, I think out of all the states I drove through when I was a truck driver, 35 in total I think, NY was the prettiest, especially the upstate, going through the Adirondacks heading toward Canada, Ticonderoga and Lake Champlain area, gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous, especially in the winter, colder than anything I have ever experienced, except Minnesota, but beautiful nonetheless. It really gives you an appreciation for the beauty that came from God's hands.
