Jeramie
So I got my wife into bird hunting last year and now she is full bore into birds... She loves to hunt dove and ducks but I would love to put her on quail or pheasant. The only thing we have in NE Oklahoma anymore is a handfull of Bob White. They are here but very, very thin and hard to find. We are closer to SE Kansas than the panhandle of Oklahoma. There are quite a few Blue Quail and Pheasant in the pandhandle but it is literally a 7'ish hour drive. I can be across the Kansas line in about 1.5 hours. Any ideas? Good places? We do have raised birds here but most are done in European hunts at $300 a gun. I would rather actually hunt birds..

Jeramie
Ran into a friend I graduated high school with years ago... Looking at doing a hunt with him (he has pen raised birds on 3000 acres) west of Wichita. That will at least be a start... Fair prices over his trained dogs.
wtnhunt
A pheasant hunt would be fun, no doubt. Saw a lot of fields in South Dakota when we drove through that appeared to be left with rows standing for cover for birds. Actually starting to see a little comeback around here with the quail. They were pretty well gone from this area for the past 15 years not seen a one and seeing a few here and there around cotton and bean fields. Actually had a bird with some chicks in the road just off a cotton field back in August that I had to slow down and do a double take. Good luck getting it all worked out Jeramie.
