hoytman62
On my previous topic I had some results on hunters not using a scent attractant for whitetail deer. I would like to see who does and why and who doesn't and why. I am a third year bow hunter and am trying to learn more by you who has more experience than me. Thanks for your help! wtnhunt
Use scrape scents but none on myself, other than occasionally tracking scent with my boots (doe in rut usually).
hoosierhunter
Ever calm is an outstanding product. It doesn't calm the deer but definitely peaks their curiosity.
Ravin R10 man
Food type scent work early on here, but from here on in doe in heat will be my choice if I was still holding an open tag
Tominator
Doesn't work all the time, but occasionally it does. I use estrous during the rut, but that's about it as the others haven't proven to me that the cost is worth the result. Quite honestly, any urine, including human, will work to some degree. Rhino
I haven't used any type of scents for years. Prefer just sticking with scent control & sneaking in an out of where I'm hunting. A good friend of mine uses Smokey's Pre-Orbital Gland Lure making mock lick branches. Based on the trail cam pics he gets from them, he's had great results with it. You can read about it here. http://smokeysdeerlure.com/product/pre-orbital-gland-lure/
