Shaun_300
Well that didn't take long. Packed my coffee, walked outside and loaded the gun right at legal shooting time which is around 6:20am. Looked out in the field and 2 does were standing about 200 yards away. Was watching them through the scope and then all of a sudden I see a deer come out of the bush running full bore for one of the does. Put the crosshairs on it and saw antlers. It chased the doe into the next field then turned around and ran back and stopped about 300 yards out. I took a shot and think I shot under it because it jumped. It ran right for me. Stopped at around 175 yards broadside and I let the .300 WSM roar. It started running, jumped the fence into the cow pasture and down it went! Nothing huge but I'm very happy with it! Nearly a small 6 pointer but the brow tines aren't quite long enough to call it that. My girlfriend watched the whole thing happen out the kitchen window. Wish I could have video taped it! Trying to upload pics but says upload limit exceeded. On my phone, never uploaded on here with the phone before. I'll try to get them smaller. MUDRUNNER
Congrats Shaun! It's nice to have a quick hunt once in a while. Love it when a plan comes together. It is a pain to post pictures anymore. I'm with William, had the best luck with photobucket.

And yes the BLR is an awesome rifle. My dad, brother and myself use them as our first choice deer rifles. Has never let me down.
