Ravin R10 man
http://www.boatnerd.com/fitz/ be sure to click below to hear the Arthur Anderson's captian of what he thought happened. cant imagine what the Lake was like with 80 mph winds all the way down. was heading home that eve from Ashland on the bayfront on U.S. 2 about 10 p.m...that's just a shallow bay about 6 miles across(north) to Washburn wi. I had 10 foot breakers rolling up and over the highway in front of me for about 200 yards... I thought my car was gonna get swept off into the marsh on the south side..I stopped and timed the rollers, then I slipped into 1st and when the roller cleared the road I dropped the clutch and layed rubber well into into second gear!, all I remember is seeing the roller coming up the ditch line as I hit third!.....I cant imagine a 35 foot roller or two in a row like the Anderson said hit him, and put 12 foot of water over his entire deck! The Arthur Anderson actually pulled into Duluth this a.m. I wonder if the Fitz would have still been working the Lake had she not went down. I doubt it as Her sister ship was decommissioned a while back Edited November 11, 2014 by Mathews XT Man

I got along well with most of the Ashland kids even tho I was from out of town, I don't think they wanted to mess with a Farm kid..lol The last one that did got his eyebrows singed off...lol.... bic lighters were cool..p.s. don't let a farm kid barrow yours after you lip off!
