im your huckleberry
I am sitting doing a night shift looked at the moon and notice it's a different shape looks like we could be in for an eclipse here , any one else seeing this? Could this be the reason that the temperatures in N.A are different this year and in some areas game are on a different patterns? I am 51 and the old folks have always said that the moon can play a role in what is happening from hunting to fishing and trapping. What's every one elses opion on this? Ravin R10 man
It's possible, think we would be surprised at what we do not understand about Creation
wtnhunt
Don't know about all the moon phase stuff, but i do know that the predicted activity based on the moon does not seem too accurate around here. I hunt when i can.
fly
I think the light from a full moon = more night activity for deer. At least from my experience. I think the gravitational pull may also have an effect - just don't know why or what. I spent two seasons tracking the moon phase and my deer sightings. I concluded that it didn't tell me enough to spend the time to track it.
StanHalen
The only thing that I have heard about the gravitational pull is it causes them to be hungrier than normal. I have no idea if it's true but I was told years ago that the gravitational pull to earth causes their stomachs to feel empty.
Tominator
The moon was in last quarter on the 15th and no eclipse and it has no effect on cold temps...
stevebeilgard
a moonlit night means the animals will graze all night and go to bed an hour or 2 before sunup. i just went through it again with last weeks elk.
