Ravin R10 man
Warm temps and loss of snow has changed deer movement to feed areas here. Just two days ago you could set up to intercept,...that has all changed, as deer have gone to more of a late fall movement, and can feed anywhere again. Glad I tagged out early season now. wtnhunt
Most deer here are in nocturnal mode. Don't think the warmer weather is helping matters. Did have a hot doe around last Monday. Timing. lol. Could not have been on Sunday or this weekend. Bright side there were 2 decent bucks still around. Problem we have now is the yotes are so freaking bold. They are hunting adult healthy deer. Had a doe with a broken leg around i should have shot last weekend. Only saw a few over the weekend, not moving around much during daylight unless they are bumped.
redkneck
I'm with you William, deer very much nocturnal now, was getting pics all day now almost exclusively at night. Hope the moon is going to be more favorable as the peak of our rut is fast approaching.
Ravin R10 man
Will...they were nocturnal during gun season, two weeks ago.. but the last week or so have been moving right at last light, and could be targeted to using certain routes..UNTIL this last week. Deer are still feeding in bean fields, crab apples, corn fields ,still some standing, and pretty much spread out...temps been way too nice for deer to pull into typical wintering areas, about a week left in our bow season here. Cold temps coming today and hopefully get ground refroze, and make more ice... Edited December 28, 2014 by Mathews XT Man
