Brutal day on the Atlantic

As most of you know, I am a commercial lobster fisherman. Most people have no idea what it is like to do this type of job. Yesterday was brutal, the temp was around - 12 C , winds around 25 knots from the northeast which made it feel like - 30 C. When you are a boat on the Atlantic Ocean, there is no where to run nor hide, you have to take it all in stride. Numb feet, numb hands and a face that feels like it is going to drop off lol .................... why do I do this ? ................ I love it and the $$$$$ is great and makes you forget about the torture lol. I must say, I got Underarmour base layer clothing for Christmas and it is awesome.

Here is a couple of pics looking out the wheelhouse windows, this is salt water freezing, as soon as it hits, it freeezes. I also have been out on a lot worse days than this and alot more ice ................. there is a saying around here ~~~

"Southwest Nova lobster fisherman ~~~~ Tough as they come " ................... sometimes I wonder, should it be " Crazy as they come " lol
