New Target With Three Inch Circle

It seems that the new rage is how many pellets you can get into a three inch circle.

So I started thinking get the best of both worlds! If you right click and save, "Save Picture As"!

Choose somewhere on your PC. Click OK! Yes I know the file is LARGE!

But when you print it out it will be the size you need for the range!

I printed out ten targets, the FADED area is exactly THREE INCHES!

Good luck!!!

This is a really sweet target, but I would love it even more if the 3" white area was where I aim at. ( The Base of the neck, where the feathers meet the neck )

Not to criticize, thanks much for posting.

But do you know where your the most consentration of shot is hitting? When you kill a bird you want your shot to hit the head and neck area! This is the fastest and best place to kill the bird quickly. If your shooting straight into the body area, you run more the risk of just injuring and never re-covering your turkey!

BTW! Welcome to the forums! grin.gif

Re: New Target With Three Inch Circle

LifeNRA, maybe you can make one with the light grey circle removed from the head and lowered down to the middle of the neck like Jim did? Just curious.

I agree. These targets will give you a better

understanding of the bones in a turkeys neck and their brain. The Remington target shows nothing of the bones. It is more or less just a red dot with a turkey in the background that you can barely see at 40 yards. These targets will give you a good view of a simulated turkey head down range. Also, I have heard that some people will draw a lifesize silouete of a turkey on poster board. Then they will attach the turkey head on the silouete and shoot. Pretty good idea.

That is what I am saying, I would rather have my concentration hitting int the vitals of the neck, where the skin meets the feathers. That way there is pattern hitting not only the head, but also the entire vital area. Not having a majority of my pattern missing the bird all together. I never said to aim at the body. confused.gif

To illustrate: (where the black dot is)

No offense to the original poster, Just illustrating my point. I do appreciate the work you did, it is an awesome target. laugh.gif

Good point, I also aim at where the black circle is. grin.gif

Re: New Target With Three Inch Circle

LOL guys! Its just a target! I aim where the neck meets the body! I have to, because of the way my gun shoots. Every gun is different, the only reason I put that 3" circle in is. It seems that the rage is how many hits in a three inch circle! So I decided to play around and just make a faded one on the head. Because more hits on the head means more dead! LOL!!! Hey it worked for me! I counted 49 hits at 40 yards today!!!
