mookyj
For those of you, into ink, art,and all things deer and turkey. Mostly lower arm on both sides as artist was looking to capture recent work. Turkey sleeve is done, healed. the deer sleeve is 85-90% complete and with fresh arrows on back tricep, and newly inked deer tracks which are very angry and read (soft spot on the arm, and puffs right up when inked) this was done by four different artists @ Ascend Gallery in Cortland, NY, the upper arm pieces not shown here are done by Scot Clark and appear elsewhere in prior posts. Ravin R10 man
Glad you like it man. go for it...to each his/her own .just my opinion here, and don't leave this forum on my account.. Just my personal preferrance & taste. and don't take this personal ok? but I don't see the art in covering your body with ink, frankly, to me it's appalling when I see that . Don't even start with Piercings...lol This is why; ~Leviticus 19:28 28: You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. Bash me if you need to..Guess I'm not into it..sorry....lol Edited January 17, 2015 by Mathews XT Man
fly
Back in 1989 I was 18 and in basic training and went to the tattoo place to have an eagle with a US Army banner in his talons. The guy didn't have the design I wanted so the plan was to go back the next weekend to a different place that had a better selection. The next weekend came and things came up and we didn't go. I never did get that tattoo. Would have went on my right shoulder. I would not have regretted it. Your work looks well done. Those designs are certainly unique. mookyj
Familiar with the passage, if you read in context you would also call out that it was in disdain of honoring and praising other pagan gods, gods of the dead, The undead, etc. At that time there was rituals as such. My "art" on the other hand (some of which you don't see here such as a entire back piece) honors my wife, my family, and honor/respect for god's creatures which we are all so found of. Leviticus 19:28 is commonly taken out of context [quote= This is why; ~Leviticus 19:28 28: You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo yourselves: I am the Lord. Bash me if you need to..Guess I'm not into it..sorry....lol You won't find me bashing you, as religious beliefs are deeply held by many,as I have mine. Treating others well even at times if difficult is not a bad way to be. Lot of people don't care , dislike, or even hate skin art, and it's an opinion. I happen to love well done tattoos, not a big fan of scratchers, poor work, poor designs. Even then it is still an opinion Edited January 19, 2015 by mookyj

wtnhunt
Not into tats either but to each their own. Pretty familiar with the old testament and the referenced scripture from Leviticus. I personally seriously doubt someone who gets tats is condemned the way some like to think or preach. Yeah probably taken somewhat out of context(like a lot from the bible), hey the religious room is dead, how about we take the conversation about scriptures there! Here, use this thread http://forums.realtree.com/forum/other-topics/the-spiritual-camp/2043129-opinions-interesting for discussing religious views! Ravin R10 man
Excuse me..I never implied anyone was 'condemned" by it..nor did I point my finger for him doing so. God told Isreal not to for a reason, to stand out from the pagan world...not bad advice to this day. Mooky & I will be just fine. no more here from me Will..lol

Adjam5
Some very detailed work there. I have about 24 hours worth of ink on my body. Done by famous artists. None of it outdoors related...yet. Much of the ink and equipment used now technologically is way better than the stuff of yesteryear. Safer, more sterile and the artwork is so much better too. Tattooing has now become mainstream in many ways. Even has become part of Americana. Very colorful work.
bowhunter97
I got a deer with my grandpas rack from a deer he shot years ago tattooed on my back. I'll try and get some pictures up soon.
magnus845
Huh, look what I found! I disagree, tattoo is not mainstream yet. People invent new directions of this art, just look what exists this day here. Tattoos still popular.
Alex88876
I like this thing) I've recently seen some awesome works of art. I mean tattoos. I don't think that tattoo is something bad, it's beautiful as for me. But, of course, it's a business of everyone. How do you like this one? https://tattoozza.com/3d-tattoos
