Rhino
Congratulations Martin. Good luck this spring! Hope the weather works in your favor that week. Never had to deal with a situation where I had to apply for a spring turkey tag & hope I get one for just 1 week to hunt. I guess I'm spoiled with all the spring turkey hunting time and opportunities I have.
wtnhunt
Ever since we have had turkey seasons they have been otc license/tags that did not require any drawing. They do have some quota hunts you have to draw for though. Yeah spoiled here i guess too. No license/tags purchase required for farm owner hunting their land. I did occasionally hunt our neighbor had to buy big game gun when i did.

Ya Don, ... saw tracks out there this eve. on way out to check on deer when I got home well, at least I've been getting a tag every year, and fortunately have filled it with a good bird most years. VermontHunter
Congrats on the tag Martin. Spoiled here as well, we get to take 3 Turkeys a year, 2 spring Toms/Jakes and 1 of either sex in the fall that I ear make for the bow .. fly
IL has a draw system too. Each season lasts 5 days and a resident can buy multiple 5 day season tags at 15 each. In KY a nonresident can but a turkey tag OTC for 75.00 / take two birds and the season is 3 weeks long. I stopped hunting turkey in iL years ago. Planning to try KY this spring. More convenient and doesn't cost much more.
colorado bob
We have both draw & OTC tags here in Colorado. Draw tags are limited in area. OTC tags are mostly on the western slope. I'm addicted to turkey hunting, I try to do both. Plus going to KS on the Realtree hunt.
