Cool pics...especially the setting sun. Got lucky here William. We had some freezing rain one night and the following day a large part of MS got freezing rain & snow with up to 8" in areas N of me. Fortunately for me I just got rain that following day with the temp a few degrees above freezing. Melted the ice during the day and about an hour before dark the rain ended. The bad stuff started ~20 miles N & ~25 miles W of me.

Thanks Al. Was lucky to catch a couple birds in that one frame. Thought it turned out pretty nice. Heard that some parts around Tupelo got about a foot. We got mostly ice here. We are supposed to be looking at as much as 7 inches of slop here tomorrow and cooold temps. TDOT has not taken any prep with the roads yet around here, so this time we will probably get nailed.

Very strange weather so far this year. Seems like it's either been cold & wet (or ice) or warm & wet around here. Got back into the 70's Monday & yesterday with more rain. More ice on the way late tonight & tomorrow.

Friend of mine asked me yesterday if I'd been listening for gobbling activity yet. I usually start doing that around the last week of Feb. I said no...need some cool, clear, calm mornings to make the trip just to go listen worth it. Haven't had ANY mornings like that. Spring turkey season opens in 10 days.

It was nearly 50 degrees the past couple days here so we lost quite a bit of snow. Last night a cold front moved in. Temp dropped from 45 to about 10 degrees very quickly. Very intense wind, rain, lightning then a burst of snow as the temperature dropped. Don't ever remember seeing lighting in March here with snow on the ground. It was very bizarre lol.
