All the dies i have had been rcbs until i recently bought my 270 dies which are the hornady new dimension. I had a stuck case after about 60 rounds of resizing brass the weekend before last.

No great big deal extracted a few before. In the process i had a 1/4 bolt snap so had to drill a small pilot hole in the bolt and re drill. Dunno if the bolt or my bit hit the ball but the spindle bent and the tip of the ball slightly cracked.

I looked for the 270 replacement ball with no luck so contacted hornady by email explaining what happened to see where i could buy one. Had the spindle found at midway and already in my cart.

Hornady contacted me back that they had replacements being shipped to me that day under warranty, i had them by the weekend. They sent new spindle, ball, and decapping pins.

I had an issue with an rcbs die a while back and emailed and also called them and left a message with someone there and they never replied or returned my call. From here on hornady will get my reloading equipment business.

That's outstanding customer service William. Haven't stuck a case in a resizing die in over 30 years. Did it once with a .308. One of those things you do once & make sure you never do again.

Something I may or may not have done Al, as with so much learning as I am going with no one showing or teaching me anything. What I would give to have a dad or uncle to teach me anything related to hunting/shooting.

Using one shot case lube before resizing. Seems to be mixed reviews on using the one shot as opposed to physically lubing each rd. Maybe I should look at a different method for lubing before resizing?
