pointing_dogs_rule
A few years back I started taking a week off and heading west to hunt Nebraska/South Dakota/Wyoming. Every year has been a great experience in hunting and meeting up with friends that I have made. This years trip is a month away and I'm gettin' excited. I've decided to drop South Dakota and add Kansas for a change of scenery. I'll hunt northern Kansas the first few days then head to Nebraska. I'll be knocking on doors in Kansas to find birds and land (which I don't mind). Hope that you all have a great season.
Rhino
Yep...I've made some great memories over the years making turkey hunt road trips. To New Mexico, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Vermont, Alabama, and Kentucky to name states off the top of my head. Some of the most memorable were the ones where the terrain and scenery were totally different than my home turf. Still make some road trips every year. Headed to Kansas for the forum turkey hunt again this year with Tim Andrus. Missouri will be on my annual hunts list from now on since we have our own place there. Need to plan another Texas hunt in the future. Maybe another trip to the mountains again too.
