Ravin R10 man
Well, I was set up just as the sun was hinting daylight, did not hear a gobble, but did have one bird with a very load raspy, cluck come by about 70 yards into the timber, it never came or responded to my calling. Holwever, my brother had a Gobbler answer and come right up to his pretty bow and strut & spit around it...he got shot before he attacked...pretty close to 6 a.m. 25 +# 11.5" " beard one broke off spur and one one icnh Edited April 19, 2015 by Mathews XT Man
Ravin R10 man
Spent three mornings in that spot, only heard a tree gobble one time, birds have moved on there, trying a public spot this a.m., brother has seen a huge Gobbler there three times, same spot, same time...no hens with him..this may be the ticket. Well, he was there roosted across the road on private...apparently henned up for now....got close but not come to call Today 4-19-15 rainy day...not really much to tell, he came in to strut, from federal Forest, and never got across the road to the private land. He got a load of No. 5 federals...never moved.. 27# 11" beard 1" spurs pic to follow at some time Edited April 20, 2015 by Mathews XT Man
