RangerClay
I have not bought a choke tube in yeeeears. Now I find myself buying one for my daughters 20 gauge Mossberg 500. I want to get a tube with magna-porting to reduce her recoil. What is new? What are you having success with?
Rhino
For what it's worth Joe...either an Indian Creek .565 or a Primos Jellyhead .570 ought to do fine on your daughter's 20 gauge. I'm using an Indian Creek .665 choke right now on my 12 gauge Benelli & very happy with the pattern using it. I think Midway recently had Indian Creek chokes on sale. wtnhunt
The girls 870 youth 20 gauge I put on a tru glo gobbler stopper. Pretty inexpensive choke, but it seems to work pretty well on that setup. I would not hesitate to let them take 35 yard shots with it with that setup. After my own research that was my first choice. The problem I'm having is finding it for a Mossberg 500. Several places offer it with a fiber optic sight combo but I don't want the sights. wtnhunt
I bought it at wal mart Joe and best as I recall that came with the sight too. I needed the vent rib sight for that gun and it either came with it or I bought it separate but at the same time. Suppose you could buy the choke and sell try to sell the sight. Dunno if you contacted truglo if they might be able to lead you to a seller that sells it individually? Might be worth shooting them an email.
