Shaun_300
Haven't done that in years. Used to do it all the time as a kid. You can't let the full beam of light hit them or they shoot into the ground faster than you can blink. Just let the very edge of the beam hit them and then grab em. You gotta be quick, they're fast little buggers lol!
Ravin R10 man
ya I know not to shine right on them, but they still are fast, maybe I'm just slowin down?..lol, well, we drowned em all and even had to buy a couple dozen exra on Sunday, Breylen picked right up casting on the open face reel , he did great, he caught fish and we all had a super time. Fish Fry was tasty. Got the bright idea of introducing those big ol Canadian crawlers, (which is what they had at the bait shop), in my yard to cross breed with my regular crawlers, does anybody know if that will work? What I want is a bigger crawler, anyways I transplanted 4 dozen today and will be getting more soon, so I guess time will tell if they crossbreed. I'm going to establish them here anyways, so I'll have them either way. I really liked Can. crawlers, they are about 1/3 bigger than the ones I got here, and seemed to be more fiesty.
