scoulson.97
I'm fairly new to bow hunting, with only been going 3 years now. The first 2 years I used Rage 2 blade broad heads and took 1 doe with them. Last year after season I had a chance to buy a set of G5 T3 mechanical heads for a extremely discounted price so I did. Now I keep reading on different sites that they might not work with my bow. Saying my bow is too low poundage for them. Where my stand is, I can only get off about a 40 yard shot at the very most. Can anyone give me there opinion on this please? I'm shooting a Browning Micro Adrenaline, 28 inch draw and pulling 51 pounds. Thanks
hoosierhunter
Throw the T3's away. Their failure rate is the worst in the market. 51 lbs is pushing the limit for expandables, let alone 40 yards. Keep shots at 30 yards or less being so new into hunting. scoulson.97
I have been gun hunting for about 25 years. Just bought a bow to be in the woods longer really.
Ravin R10 man
I shoot Wasp/ Muzzy for fixed blades I also shoot rage
redkneck
Too many good ones to list but I think you should stick with a three blade fixed with a smaller cutting diameter. Look at something like a wasp hammer sst. My girls shoot them and they are well made heads. But there's plenty more out there that will do just fine
Tominator
I agree with looking into a fixed blade. I like the Muzzy 3 blade for the price. I shoot Rage 2 blades too, but I'm pulling 74 lbs.
dbHunterNY
I'd be shooting a heavier arrow with finished weight at 350 grains or more (7+ grains per pound of draw weight). a good cut on contact design or other fixed blade with good penetration would be good. check out this broadhead test...
