The Bug House
I have a work day planned this Sun, going to pull the cards from my 2 cameras, rake and reseed the food plot ... its a small patch just to get them to linger in front of the camera and treestand, and putting my new ladder stand up. I was at Wallyworld and noticed a 16' ladderstand with shooting rail for $66! Turns out it was mis-priced but they gave it to me anyway! I love a good deal! lol
wtnhunt
Got a few to hang here very soon, waiting for it to cool down a little. Yep, always looking for a deal, be careful putting up the stand bug.

Shaun_300
Right on man! I was hoping to make one today and put it up but it's a high of 88 with a heat index of 104 both today and on my day off tomorrow. Just got back from the bush, was cleaning up some trails and cutting brush. It's getting pretty warm out already! May at least go get the lumber. The Bug House
Well ..... I got the stand up no sweat, I wound up moving it a week later. Got some more seed down, it's been really dry here lately but it came up nice and green. I got a couple does on the cameras, a fawn as well. I put another camera on a friends property, I got permission to hunt there as well this year ... 100+ acres, wooded with big field. 2 big oak trees. Also just found out the local Bowshop is closing, picked up a couple 20" bolts and new broadheads. I gotta find a new shop I guess ..... Rhino
With trying to get ready for the season in 2 states I haven't had much time to drop in lately. In Missouri we have our plots planted and almost all of our stands ready to hunt. Some promising mature bucks on the 1st trail cam run. May go there a few days next week to finish up the last few stands & run the cams for the 2nd time. Been spending a lot of time lately at our club in Mississippi getting things squared away. Been working on camphouse renovations and I have almost all of my stands ready to hunt. Heading back there tomorrow & work through the weekend to try to finish up my chores and help a friend with some of his stands. Looking forward to the season so I can start to relax and just focus on the hunting part. If it sounds like I've been a road warrior...that's about right. Good thing I'm retired.
