We start in MS on Thursday, I'll be in a tree each morning and evening sit Saturday and Sunday. I actually opened season Labor Day weekend on public land in KY. Saw several deer and had a blast. Hunt or be Hunted Posted October 1, 2015 Report Share Posted October 1, 2015 Hey guys! I'm really late checking in! Had some family issues come up that had to be dealt with. Season opener is just a few hours away for me. But I'm stuck at work to where I can't go. But I'm off Sunday so I'll be sure to be in a tree somewhere! Temperatures are slowing coming down for us here. Supposed to be in the mid to upper 60's for highs this weekend!! Name really doesn't matter to me. Whatever you guys pick is perfectly fine by me! Later on I had a nice 8 point at 60 yards but he was trailing a doe. Hopefully I will see him again in 2 weeks. My stupid next door neighbor decided to sight in his rifles all afternoon on Friday. Drove all the deer out my small piece. I did see a nice dry doe on Sunday but their wasn't enough light to shoot. At one point I had 12-15 deer with 40 yards of my stand with 2 of them being a pair of spikes. Had does and fawns bleating and bucks grunting. The rut is kicking here in central NY.
