Got an 8PT late today 13 pts for our Team.

with nearly a foot of snow Thursday eve, our rut is getting going here, so Sat. was the first I could hunt the snow, I slept in, then took my time heading out. Got in stand about 10;30 a.m., temp was upper 40's snow melting off trees, sounded like rain. I had deer working all day long. Two forks and a spike came grunting in like pigs during the hunt, finally this 8 pt came grunting in around 4:30 and I'm not sure he didn't breed a doe just off to my left, 30 yards off the plot. he was doing the buck roar like they do while tending a doe just before breeding....at one point, I could see a deers stomach just heaving up and down from running...at 4:45,.he came out to edge of plot at 40 yards, there was almost a clear shot there, he was in raspberry brush, but I was not comfortable with that shot, He stepped back into the woods and roared again several times, it sounded like he mounted a doe, or was chasing one. He was tearin the place up!.. I could see him moving around and I was losing daylight fast. I said a quick prayer, asking the good Lord to send him my way, Im ready to kill him!.....Just then, several does and fawns ran down the plot to me, he was downwind of them, and I had TINKS doe in heat GEL and TINKS 69 out, that was all he could take,.. he stepped out at 30 yards and was heading my way, he got to 15 yards,( I thought man, I asked for this, here we go!,) .... I came to full draw just as he turned heading from left to right. He stopped, I put my pin on him and squeezed my release, THWACK!! Double lunged him, He kicked, ran toward the right side of the plot, turned and headed back to the left side where he came from. he stopped midway, stumbled and went down. He is the first rack Ive had in daylight all season, saw much bigger, all at night on cams of course, mostly up the road on my rental property.

This was the 8th time on stand, since Sept 12th 34 hours logged in

As Roger Raglin would say; "JIMMINEY CHRISTMAS!....HOLY COW!!... I had a pretty good day!!"

We had a slow opener for our southern tier gun season. Weather was too nice and the rut is dying down. I did manage to upgrade. He would have been a nice 8 point but half his rack was shot off and had two other bullet holes in him. I didn't see the missing side but I would have shot him anyway. So I will upgrade us later with two more points.

Holy cow guys. First off I want to say I'm sorry. I had to get a new phone due to my old one wasn't holding a charge. When I got my new one in and downloaded this forum it kept telling me time after time that I didn't know my password or anything. I tried everything. And finally I gave up. For some reason I figured I'd try it once more and it finally let me log in! My season has been a bust. Long story short I missed one of the bucks on the farm we call The Count. Huge 140 class chocolate horned buck. Still sick to my stomach over that one. Now that duck season is in I've been spending a lot of time in the blind. Fixing to pick up my bow and go on an evening hunt tonight.

Fellas, the season as a whole did not go the way I wanted it to. However, I do have us a few points from where it took an upswing Monday and will get that posted soon. If you read my link you'll get a recap on my season. I apologize for not sharing the season with each of you. My mobile app did not work correctly and I rarely log onto the laptop.
