Do you HATE either of them, or do you like one but still respect the others. I just want to kno that. we can leave all the arguing for a seperate post! LOL. LOOKK Jeff Gordon is my top driver and with him owning Jimmy's car it is only natural that I like him. I don't hate Junior or any other driver, I just like to give em heck like any other driver that goes against Jeff. I respect Jeff Gordon, but I don't really like him much. I really dislike Jimmie Johnson. I don't like his attitude towards other drivers. LOOKK I don't really care for Gordon that much.I do like Junior and Senior was my #1 driver.I would say my favorite active driver is Tony Stewart with Jimmy Johnson coming in second.My least favorite are Kurt Busch,Robby Gordon,and Kasey Kahne. Even though I don't consider myself a huge Nascar fan I was down in the dumps for some time after his father died. I think that Gordon has learned alot from racing and being around Dale Sr. and he races pretty clean and smart as well. LOOKK i use to be a alan kulwicki fan until he left us , i moved over to gordon then,but it got boring winning all the time so i went with johnson (who ever thought he would be as good as he is!!!)....like i've said before, i don't hate any of them, some just get on my nerves more than others !!!!.....my wife likes the earnhardts so it gets interesting around here... i have been lucky enough to meet a lot of them several times & you get to see the real side of them.... [/ QUOTE ] Here's what I know on the subject through either reading interviews or talking to people who know a crew member. I had a teacher in high school whose nephew worked for Yates at the time, not sure if he still does, he told me that Yates told him when they were on the road all he had to pay for was his whiskey and women, but that was at the time when shop guys also doubled as crew guys, now with the crews being just race weekend only I have read that they get flown to and from the track, they usually have a normal during the week job and practice in the evenings at the shop. As far as compensation I think they get a percentage of the race purse but I guess it all depends on what team they work for. Like I said this isn't first hand knowledge, just what I have read and heard once. I remember reading a year or so ago that one of Jarretts crew members normal job was working for UPS, just a coincidence that DJ's sponsor changed to UPS. I also believe that each crew member is trained in a specific area of the car so they know what they are doing if the car is damaged. Since he is phasing out not I have to figure out who to pull for. I, like many of you said, really only have a few I really don't care for... Tony Stewart being at the top of that list, Harvick being another I don't care much for. I could like them Yates guys a lot more if they drove Chevrolets.... I am not a Ford guy at all... but on the other hand about the only thing that is ford , or chevy on a cup car is the word painted on it.
