colorado bob Posted October 7, 2015 Report Share Posted October 7, 2015 I'm packing as I'm typing. I'm headed up the mtn on Friday for the 1st elk rifle here in Colorado. I've got a friend coming up from TX, he'll be here tomorrow nite. Grocery shopping & check the rifles on Thursday. Then drive up the mtn & set camp on Friday. Hopefully, pack out some elk on Sunday. No ram for my better half. We saw ewes & lambs. She could have shot a 1/2 curl but she already has a ram. She was looking for a real nice one. The other 2 hunters both killed good ones. But they were younger than us & were willing to hit the steep nasty after them. 15 years ago I would have but on the wrong side of 60, I thought different.
