Shaun_300
Yesterday afternoon I headed to the stand for my evening sit, haven't seen a deer in the past couple days. I stood up to pull something out of my pants pocket and look up and a coyote is trotting down one of the trails towards me. This is rifle season so I was in full hunter orange so I figured he'd spot me. I had my rifle laying on my chair and he just happen to stop behind a cluster of trees, so I picked up the gun and shouldered it. He made a couple steps and I put the cross hairs just above the front shoulder and squeezed, he bit the dust and didn't even flinch. First kill with my Remington 700 CDL SF 7mm-08. He was a good size one, probably 50lbs easy, long too, with his nose touching the ground holding him by the back legs it was close to 6 feet tall. wtnhunt
Congrats on the first kill with the new rifle. Wish the software was right where we could see more than a thumbnail. Sounds like a really big one Shaun, don't think any I have killed have been that long head to tail.
Shaun_300
Thanks William, I will try and upload it to photobucket. I am on the tablet so I will repost with my laptop. Figured it would have brought the full size pic up when the thumbnail was clicked but I guess not. Yes it was a big yote for sure, that 6 feet was me holding up by the back paws, so it was stretched out as far as it could.
