Tinks Scent Bombs

I really like using Tink's scent bombs except for one issue. I've been having trouble with them not sealing and leaking pretty bad. This gun season one leaked #69 all over the pocket in my backpack I was keeping it in. I've since been keeping them in a ziplock bag which at least keeps my backpack cleaner, but it's still a mess getting them out of the ziplock bag when they're covered in #69 and getting them setup. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. Is there a similar device on the market that works better? One thing I was thinking about doing was trying to find a more "heavy duty" bottle of about the same size and buy the Tink's replacement wick set and just kinda making my own that would stay sealed. I just don't won't to go through another season dealing with the mess.

Thanks for the replies. After thinking about it some more, I can't remember how old my scent bombs are, but it's got to be a few years, so I may have just worn them out. As cheap as they are, I may just get some new ones, and may replace them every year or two just for good measure. I may keep an eye out for a more heavy duty bottle, but that may be tough to come up with. I'm also going to start putting each bomb in it's own ziplock bag instead of all three in one bag. That way one leaker won't mess up all three and I'll be able to tell which one is leaking and toss it. Happy hunting.

Just an update on this: Was in a Cabelas store over the weekend doing some last minute Christmas shopping and ran across a product called the Seal-tite drop wick made by a company called HME. Won't have a chance to try it out until next year's deer season, but it looks like it might solve some of the problems I was having with the Tink's scent bombs. Couple things I like about it is that it has a large external hook for hanging it up, it has a cone shaped rain shield, and it used a double o-ring seal so hopefully it won't leak. Looks like a well designed product, but we'll just have to see. Thanks again.

I never open them up until I'm out in the field and I either keep them out there the entire weekend that I'm going to hunt and just refresh them when I get out there... or I keep them in the back of my truck if I must take them back.  Regarding the bottles of urine. Unfortunately, I learned that the hard way when I had a bottle in my pocket and threw it in the washing machine.  :-)  Yep!  You guessed it.  Good Times!!
