The Bug House
Man, it's been warm! 50's the last week or so and not much cooler prior to that. No ice or snow whatsoever, not even the swamps or small ponds are frozen. In fact we had one snow shower in Oct so for .... thats it. This time last year we had 2' on the ground and were cutting holes in 8"+ of ice while grilling fresh backstrap ... this year I struck out during deer season just to make matters more depressing. lol! Rhino
I hear ya...this past weekend it was in the upper 70's for highs. More like spring time fishing weather. Supposed to cool off the end of this week through the weekend. Primary rut here in MS should be starting to crank up now.
wtnhunt
Was warm here over the weekend. Had some record highs reported from what I understand from the local news station. A start in the mid 30's and now into the upper 60's, beautiful weather but does not seem like deer season in December. Supposed to be a nice cool down coming Wednesday night. MUDRUNNER
We actually had our windows open for a bit last weekend lol. Supposed to get back down to normal for the next few days and then warm back up to into the 50's by Sunday. It's not looking good for a white Christmas around here. Adjam5
Sheesh...I have had windows open during the day and it has not even been cold enough to start a fire for warmth through the night. The deer have their winter coats on and it is like they are wearing a parka in July. They don't move until the temps drop. Gone nocturnal. Shaun_300
Crazy warm here too, 52 degrees on the way home. The first week of October we had snow and lows down around 10 degrees at night. Thought winter would be in full force by now but I guess not. Looks like we will be having a green Christmas, haven't seen that in a LONG time. Looks like highs in the 40s straight through til the new year with lows right at the freezing mark. My poor snowmobile is crying in the shed wanting to come out of hibernation lol.
Ravin R10 man
below freezing next couple days, actually had some snow too....ready for both;
billkay
We've had about 6 inches of snow a few weeks ago but it went back to the 50's and 60's again. It will be in the 30's today and tomorrow but then back to the 40-50's again. I got to admit, I really don't mind so much...

Calling for 12 to 16 inches of snow on Tuesday with a high of 14. That's a bit more like winter lol.

Ravin R10 man
Ya, but ya know Steve, you can drill a hole REALLY fast! Only bad part is the auger takes up alot of room in the boat! Edited December 29, 2015 by Mathews XT Man
