Normally I wouldn't have went but I tend to have good luck on birthday. I saw zero deer this AM but heard some coyotes right at daylight. Figured I'd call to them later before heading home. About 8:30am my deer hunt was over so I used a light 10 second rabbit in distress mouth call then silence for 5-10 minutes. Then a loud rabbit distress call for 30 seconds. About 10 minutes later here he comes looking for breakfast. Great way to end my season. Next year I'll be looking for a bobcat when IL finally opens the season.! I've always wanted to hunt these critters but it hasn't been legal until the 2016-2017 season. Still, there aren't a bunch of them so it will be tough.
