stevebeilgard Posted January 27, 2016 Report Share Posted January 27, 2016 that doesn't surprise me at all. urban hunting is an up & coming thing. lots of cities have large deer herds, and they are eating folks gardens and flowers complete with lots of vehicle damage from accidents. lots of town/cities allow archery yard hunting. Hand drawn bows that is. No firearm discharge in my town, but they do allow projectile discharge. NY Bowhunters, which I am on the Board of Directors for . Was instrumental in getting the distance changed for hand drawn bow discharge lessened from 500' to 150' from a objecting residence. 250' for a crossbow and firearms are still 500' from a objecting residence. Seen some real nice bucks inside the city limits in town here. Some archery areas, had permission on one at one time about 10 years ago.
