LifeNRA
Ok! Today I fired ten rounds, five each. #6 Winchester Supreme's, and #6 Remington Hevi-Shot. Both 3.5" shells! The Winchester's were shot out of the Comp-n-choke, the hevi-shot was done out of the Jelly Head from Primos. I counted 49 hits in the head and neck area with the Comp-n-choke/Winchester set up! Only 19 hits with the Jell Head/Hevi-shot. This was all done at 40 yards! JH/HS = Jelly Head/Hevi-Shot Win/CNC = Winchester/Comp-N-Choke The very first shots were done on a big piece of white paper, one each! The JH/HS set up had a wide pattern. But the Win/CNC set up was tighter. Then I went to the targets. With out a doubt, the Comp-N-Choke did the best! On Saturday I will finish my test on these two chokes. I want to fire some Winchesters through the Jelly Head, also, I have some Federal shells to test as well. I will let you all know the out-come. One more thing! The Sims re-coil pad does seem to take away some, just some of the re-coil. I will say this! The Winchester had more kick than the Hevi-shot! Once I get my camera drivers loaded into this PC I might post a pic of the target!

But there's still plenty of time with the temps being so cold and my season still over a month and a half away. Borch

snapper
Re: Comp-N-Choke Wins Round One!!! I'm gonna try the #6's heavy shot this weekend. I shot the #5's 3 1/2" heavy shot at 41 yards and had 42 bb in the kill zone. More bb's could have been counted (inside the turkey's head) but weren't really in the vital area. I think I'll get a little better pattern with the #6's.
LifeNRA
Re: Comp-N-Choke Wins Round One!!! Hey Snapper, dont shoot hevi-shot out of the Comp-N-Choke! They dont recommend it! Very bad things can happen. Like the choke gets destroyed!
