Lime and fertilize mow and spray grasses in the clover plots. not always in that order. mowed once this year already needs cut again now.

Was going to try to get some beans in this year but don't know that i will, never did get that ground sprayed or worked.

Everything depends on what you want to plant or what you already have planted. I have a large perennial plot that consists of chickory, clover and turnips; I mow it down once to twice a year depending upon how I feel about turkey clutches. If you want to plant corn, you need to have it nitrified and planted asap. I just put my soybeans in last week and already have a good amount of emergence...Fall annuals are no rush in most cases, depending on where you live.

Here in MS the only thing we'll be doing this time of year is spraying plots to kill everything till fall planting time after mid September. In MO all our plots were frost seed so we just have to mow them a time or 2 this summer till August when we'll plant some turnip strips.

Mowed clover again here a few days ago. Most does coming around the minerals have not dropped fawns yet. I left edges tall and left several hiding places in the main field we hunt.

Yote activity about to pick up here, will catch a few days when it is not too hot and do some calling. May try some trap sets for yotes.

Wanted to plant some beans but probably not gonna happen this year.

I just mowed, sprayed and let it burn down and then plowed everything over good and harrowed it then. I'll keep up with spraying until we plant late August. I really enjoy working back there. Got all cameras out and feeders running. Even got a bunch of stands fabricated for fall. Been busy here!
