Rhino
Been 5 years since my last bowhunting trip to Africa. Flying out on July 3rd for 10 days of bowhunting plains game again. This time we'll be in the northeastern part of South Africa about a 45 minute drive from Polokwane on a place called Pragtag. 5 years ago we hunted in Namibia. I'm going with my best friend, my son, daughter-in-law (non-hunter), and Gene Wensel who lined up the trip for us. Last time I was able to put a Kudu, Gemsbok, & a Waterbuck on the wall so they aren't on my hit list. This time we're hunting in an area were there are Sable so, by far a Sable is my no. 1 target animal. 2nd to a Sable is an Nyala. Other than those 2, Zebra, Impala, and maybe a Black Wildebeest make the hit list. Can't wait to get there and as a bonus, once again enjoy the great African game meals & hospitality. Bummer Americans are not allowed to take game meat home. Here's a few pics of where we'll be along with pics of my 2 main target animals. Hope to have trophy pics to share with y'all of me and the bowhunting crew when I get back. Edited June 10, 2016 by Rhino

Ravin R10 man
good luck Al.....worth it just to be with Gene still it dont do anything for me when I watch those shows...maybe if I went it would be different, although if you cant bring the meat back that alone would rule it out for me. I know how it works over there, you pay good money, that funds conservation efforts, fights poaching etc. villagers get the meat in return, you get the mount to take home. Win Win for all.
