It was 77 and humid this morning at about 5:30. Had heat index of 107 earlier today when I headed out to get on the tractor. Not sure what it was yesterday, but it was very warm and I was in it most of the day. Drank about 3 gallons of fluids(water and gatorade) yesterday just trying to keep hydrated. Really feeling it this afternoon after coming in off the tractor for a couple hours and then running the tiller through the garden.

Yep...that time of year again for miserable heat & humidity in the south. Did some road clearing/trimming overhanging branches Saturday at the MS club. Had to take a break after the 1st 2 hours...then again after the last 2 hours. Like you said...kept hydrating too. I had to sit, rest & cool down for about an hour before I'd shower so I wouldn't sweat coming out of the shower. Not sure how hot or what the heat index was but it was HOT and HUMID.

Our air been running about non stop until well after dark, matter of fact yesterday it couldn't keep up and it is a 5 ton unit. Our contractor told me when we built this house we did not need a 5 ton, that a 4 ton would be all we need, glad I did not listen to him. Have our thermostat set at 75 and it got to 78 in here yesterday. Was still very warm and humid this morning, had to load a cow and run to the vet late this morning, was soaked from head to toe by the time I got her in the trailer.

Today, this afternoon has not been as bad as the past several, temp was still up there but the wind was a northerly wind and maybe pulled the humidity down just a little.

Definitely warmed up since last week here! Wish the cool weather would have stuck around. It was in the high 80s today with a high of 90 for the next 3 days with heat indexes just shy of 100. Have to plant my garden in this weekend, will probably do it Sunday morning as early as possible to avoid the scorching heat. Think it was the third week of May when I planted last year and about 3 days after I planted it the temp dropped to 23 degrees one night out of no where and killed everything!! Don't think I have to worry about frost now lol. Wish we'd get some rain though, my poor lawn looks like it would at the end of August after a dry summer.

My oldest daughter is over in east end of Tennessee, she says it is pretty warm over there but humidity is probably not as bad as here.

Supposed to get near 100 this weekend actual temp. Since i started this thread don't think we have had but maybe one day where our heat index hasn't been in the mid 100's or higher. Hope July isn't this bad or worse, but usually is.
