fly
So my TV finally went out yesterday after 20 years of service. A giant and heavy 55 inch Hitachi Ultravision. I've been looking for a while trying to decide size, make, and features. Was going for a Samsung as I hear they are about the best value these days. Had looked at the 4K models and couldn't afford them. Probably was going to settle for a 55 inch 1080p LED Smart Samsung when I walked into Walmart today and saw this one on Clearance. It is a 60 inch 4K smart Samsung TV that had been on display. Take a guess as to what the clearance price was set at? The model number is UN60JU6500F if you want to look it up online first. RT member that guesses closest gets my respect and an invite to my house to watch the new Monster Bucks video (LOL). It's on a couple chairs currently, I still need to find a stand. wtnhunt
They mark some clearance stuff down less than half the original retail. Being a display unit probably dropped it again, maybe $699. 20 years is pretty decent life out of the Hitachi. Have a small Samsung in our bedroom, very good picture quality, doesn't get much use but no complaints. Picked it over an lg model. Need to eventually replace the 10+ year old philips in our living room and dedicate it to the kids PlayStations and move all that to the basement. Only issue we've had with the philips is top right corner has yellowing which isn't noticeable unless there is white or light background. Have seen some great deals at our Wal-Mart, usually on the lower end brands though.
Ravin R10 man
$328.
MUDRUNNER
Man, that is a big TV lol. I'm going to say $789. It's kind of funny....my father in law called me last Thursday asking if I could come by and give him a hand installing a new TV. I get there, open up the back of his SUV, and the thing takes up the whole back end lol. He went from a 42" to a 65". It's a Samsung LED smart TV, I think he gave about $975 for it. wtnhunt
328, 699, 750 and 789: Good guesses - hint: no one is within 100 dollars yet. 450 seems crazy low but dunno, my second guess if i get another. Saw where they had refurbs of that model around a grand, no way i would pay that much.
fly
Yes, William - you get a second guess. It's a new TV - not refurbished. It was on display and did not come in a box. We now have 328, 450, 750, and 789. Still missing the mark by over 100. LOL
Ravin R10 man
then I'll claim $580.
wtnhunt
Dunno Frank, can't imagine you got it lower than that. Had my second guess let everyone else get another.
Rhino
I'll guess $499 Frank.
fly
Martin's second guess of 580.00 is real close! Walmart had it marked at $595.00. I couldn't find a 1080p 55 inch for that price let alone a 60 inch 4K. The cheapest I found (other than this) was a Best Buy open box set for $1,169.99 (almost double). Gotta be one of the best deals I have ever found. Martin - when you coming???? LOL
Ravin R10 man
Where, exactly are you located again? I was almost gonna guess 599...lol suppose I gotta make a road trip now!...j/k

wtnhunt
Looks good. Stand looks like it may be a little more sturdy than your chair rig too. You got a great deal Frank. Some great deals can be found from time to time on wal marts clearances, end of deer season usually a great time for leftovers of items too.
