Shaun_300
Anyone else have a farm truck or bush truck? I just picked this up on Friday for $200! It's a 2001 Mazda B3000. Basically a Ford Ranger with Mazda logos. Couldn't pass the deal up. Hasn't been on the road in a few years. Had to change the alternator and one brake line on the back end of it. Also a couple other minor things I need to do to it. Doesn't really matter because it's not getting licenced for the road, yet anyways. I've put 40km on it since Friday just around our 100 acre farm LOL! It's a blast to drive, has a standard transmission. Only 2wd though, would have preferred 4x4 but I won't complain. Already have put it to hard work, with a few loads of oak. Had so much weight in the back of it I thought the front tires were going to come off the ground when I let the clutch out LOL. MUDRUNNER
Man, $200 is a steal! A guy at work has almost that same truck that he's trying to get $1500 out of. I would say that is about as loaded down as I've ever seen a little truck lol. We keep an old CJ5 at the farm that I hunt on. It's not much of a work thing though......the younger guys fart around on trails with it and get it stuck without fail.
Ravin R10 man
looks like that load alone you got your 200 back!!...lol
wtnhunt
Something running that is not rusted out for $200 would be a steal. Might need cutting brakes on that thing loading it like that Shaun. lol.

Rhino
Great deal Shaun!!! You already got your money's worth out of it. Yep...got a woods/farm truck so to speak...my 2003 GMC Yukon 4wd. Kept it for that purpose when I bought a new Tahoe back in 2008.
Shaun_300
Had it a week so far and have over 60km on the trip meter just around the farm! Hasn't let me down yet!
CARiD
What a great deal for this truck! Actually these Mazdas/Rangers are very capable and you can turn it into a pretty cool off-road rig if you want.
Shaun_300
Just rolled 200km on the trip meter! Hasn't skipped a beat. The thing actually does really well in the mud being 2wd. Guess the manual transmission helps a bit with that too, better torque control. I love the thing. Every night when I get home from work my 13 month old daughter jumps into my arm and says "Buuushhh?!?!". Has to go for her nightly ride to the bush with Dada in the truck. dogdoc
I have a little ford ranger and love the little truck. Also a manual transmission but I paid a lot more than 200 bucks. I hear they are bringing back the Ranger after not making them for around 5 years. I hear they are also bringing back the Bronco.
CARiD
Looked at your picture again and was wondering how did you transport it all together in the bed. I imagine that everything is falling off the bed every time you hit a road bump, and something like a bed cargo net would be very handy in this situation)

When I'm loaded like this it's a slow crawl back to the house. When the wood is all stacked properly it's pretty sturdy.
