Hunt or be Hunted
How has everyone been ? Feels like it's been years since I've been on here. Everything has been busy this way. Between work, fiancé, and the fire department. I can't catch a break. Haven't even been able to break out the bow yet this year to see if im worth a hoot anymore. Anyone have any luck last season? wtnhunt
Welcome back. Congratulations on the engagement. Killed a decent buck on the opener of our ml'er season, then kind of shifted gears to whacking yotes and killing nuisance beavers. For the first time ever in all the years I been a member here was on the winning team of the deer contest. Wife took her best buck to date with her rifle after shooting her best buck to date with the ml'er and us not finding it. After season closed neighboring property owner messaged me that they found the wifes 9 pt and he told me where to find it. Probably the highlight of the season though was our youngest daughter(10 years old) killing her first deer. Signups for the deer contest coming to a close, sign up if you want need a few more to try to make even teams
Shaun_300
Welcome back! Only thing I killed last season was a coyote that came out to my stand in rifle season. Passed on several does and smaller bucks but I was holding out for the big one I had been watching all summer. Never showed up. Oh well. I don't think I will be as picky this year! Rhino
Welcome back. I'm about ready for this season. Last year I killed a 9 point in MO, an old 8 point in MS, and an old 6 point (no brow tines) in MS too. Have a couple of nice bucks on cams in MS. Going to make a quick trip to MO tomorrow to do a few chores & run the cams for the 1st time this year there. Season opens 9/15 in MO so probably headed there on the 17th for a week or so to kick off the season.
