Not much happening at this point. I saw my first good deer on Sunday while showing some family members my place. At this point I'm going to leave things alone for a few weeks and once Oct 25th hits then I will get serious. I was able to get my persimmon, chestnut, apple and pear trees planted a few weeks ago and just got 18 more chestnuts in this weekend.

Well, two weeks of rifle season have passed and no dice for me yet. I had a 6 pointer out at 200 yards and walked butt to me and offered no shot and then 3 days later I let a spike buck walk because I was hoping that my daughter would bang i,t but again , no dice. I'll be heading back to deer camp for a few days next week then a couple days the week after next and that will be it for me because our lobster season opens on the 28th. I have shot three 8 pointers on Nov. 23 on different years so don't count me out yet lol. That seems to be my lucky day. Not many have been having any success so far, the deer haven't been on the move much, hopefully so colder weather will get the rut going and get the big boys out roaming.

Been  strange season so far here in central WI.  I've been hunting hard the last 2 weeks with nothing to show for it.  It has been unseasonably warm and it is making the deer nocturnal.  I passed up a 6 pointer 2 weeks ago that I would have shot had I known what I was in store for.  I did have an encounter with a big 10 last week but it came straight from behind me and never got closer than 40 yards.  I'm headed to gun camp on Wednesday and hopefully will have something to report by Thanksgiving.  Good luck all.

Sorry for such a long time between posts.  The app isn't working on my phone for some reason.  Nothing on the ground here.

I did pass a very special deer on Saturday morning and was able to video it from my phone at 15 yards.    He's a stud and would have definitely been my second largest and maybe my largest deer ever.  It's one of those memories that will stick with me forever.  I've decided to try and get one more year out of him even though I'm pretty positive he's already 5.5 years old.  Chances are slim a buck hits the ground for me unless I take a management deer late season.  Either way what happened on Saturday made my hunting year.

The rt app was for vbulletin forums, they got away from the vbulletin so that app is useless now.  can use your browser with your phone or try the tapatalk app.

Well guys, gonna be no help from me this year. This year is the most time that I have ever spent in my stand and its the fourth time in the past 26 years that I ended up skunked. The last time was 2010. I did have a 6 pointer out but he never offered a good shot so I didn't, I let a 3 point walk hoping that my daughter would get a crack at it but no luck there either. I came home from deer camp last night, our commercial lobster season starts this coming Monday so I am going to be plenty busy the next few days getting ready for it. Good luck to all and to all on the other teams.
