Everything that came in close had a small set of antlers so I didn't seal the deal on a doe yet. one deer came in right at last light from some blind calling. looked like an adult doe (1.5+ yrs old). kept looking it over real good within 15 yards around the stand. finally saw it was a runt little buck with a 2.5" spike on just one side. maybe busted both sides idk. to low light to tell. he almost ate a Rage titanium. I'd like to fill some of are quota before breeding starts. maybe this coming weekend. beach vacation set me back a little. haha Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ODH Posted November 25, 2016 Report Share Posted November 25, 2016 Had a nice 8 point back at end of October. Went to shoot and him broadside at just 15 yards and boom hit my bottom cam on my climber arm. Popped string off cam and ended up cracking cam in process. Took 2 weeks out a my season to get new cam on and set back up. Since then I had 2 more shooters in range just no shots. dbHunterNY Posted December 15, 2016 Report Share Posted December 15, 2016 so regular gun season is over here in NY. took another doe and took a photo but forgot you need yourself in the picture. still some older bucks running around just haven't caught them on the property. this weekend i've got a lot going on but will try to get out. i don't think it makes much difference score wise but sorry for screwing up the chance for doe points. i suppose there's a small chance of taking another doe but freezer pretty stocked and we've met the quota for the farm. it'd have to show up behind the house on another property. hope everyone has had a good season and are ready for Christmas or whatever you celebrate. I put a high lung shot on a big 8 point a week before rifle season. I didn't get a pass through and a Swacker don't give you much of an entrance wound unfortunately. We tracked him across 2 properties before the blood dried up. I haven't gotten motivated to hunt since.
