Says that we are going to have a harsh cold winter. Hope they are right. Need some good deer hunting weather before duck season comes in Thanksgiving morning. Been shooting the bow a little bit when I get a chance. Temps here have been about about 10-15 degrees above average for the last two weeks or so hoping it cools off by next weekend. One spot not too excited about but going to hit it for the early season so I don't wear out the better area. I'll move it later in the season. 2nd one put up in a spot over two intersecting deer trails and a creek crossing. It looks promising. Also found a rub and bed while I was out. Plan on giving it a shot opening morning which is this Saturday. How's it looking for everyone else? Ours opens the 1st but ain't no way I'm getting to sit in a tree until our work slows down quite a bit. October is a busy month for me anyway with my time off unfortunately. I checked my camera and apparently the SD was full about a month ago, so I don't have any recent pictures....DOH! I have a bad habit of not deleting pics. Passed 45 yard shots on 3 doe because I was expecting them to come in closer, but they didn't. The only buck I spotted was a young 6 point. I had some plumbing problems to take care of and had some family in from out of town, so never made it out.
