Score and age

You been good at posting age and score's then telling us afterwards the actual, so did you already kill this one Frank? Congratulations? lol. Having a full body pic and knowing when the pic was made would definitely help. I think looking at the neck what I can see of the body and the mass and face that he is a little older, out of velvet so it is probably after mid Sept. Would be a shooter for me based on age criteria, antlers are good enough too.

From what I can tell his belly is not hanging at all, back is pretty straight too, rear end not look small compared to front end; ;

I can relate to small butt , sagging back , and drooping belly...lol guess that makes me over 5.5 yrs old?

Rhino,...if you just spit your coffee onto screen; it's my fault

You guys kill me! LOL William, I have not seen this buck yet. Trying to decide if he would be a shooter. At first I was thinking 130 - 4.5 year old which I'd most likely shoot. After reading the comments and studying a few other pics I have I think he's a 3.5 year old and might gross 125 inches. The pic above was taken toward the end of September - a few days before the season opened. Problem with not shooting him is that he's been a day time buck and there is no way he'll make it through shotgun season unless he goes nocturnal. Still I may hold out for The bigger 160 inch buck I have pictured in the contest thread for team 2. Then again - I may not. Probably won't know till the time comes - if it does. Lol

Allowed 2 here still, i can be happy taking one but one won't end my season. Get the dilemma although we don't have 160's bucks walking around here so a poper is gonna be a shooter in the backyard every time. 2011 season we had a 130 class 10 around, passed an ear width mature 8 on the ml'er opener that i kind of regretted not taking. Was holding out for that 10, ended up never seeing a better buck than that 8 and he got whacked during the rifle season on the property behind us. Guess you will know at that second if he is good nuff. Heard conflicting stories about who may have killed that 10, but was one identical taken about 2.5 miles north of us.

130" 4 year old would be my guess also. Like Rhino stated, He is solid all around except for brow tines. I don't think I could pass on a deer like that lol. If he is 4 and makes it I don't see him blowing up into a 160" deer next year. Genetically he is probably not too far from his maximum potential.

yup 3.5 can get at most around 78% of max potential and 4.5 is around 92%. as long as it wasn't an draught year he probably won't be 160" class deer next year. always exceptions to the rule though, especially with deer and hunting them.
