The edit button there Luke when you first post.  It disappears after a certain period of time.  Most of my other forums have that same feature.

But why is the question ?? In cases like mine, I could really use that option to fix the links that were messed up during the migration. I really don't understand the time limit on the edit feature.

Has anyone had success trying to search out a past thread yet?  I tried the other day and the new search/ adv. search is not that easy to use.  Used to be I could search by room and it made things much easier but that is gone.  Am I doing something wrong?

I have tried some Joe.  Some work some don't and part of the issue I think is that a LOT of past users no longer exist so that makes the initial post you are looking for in some cases null searches.

And yes you can search in any room specifically for that room.  You have to click on the drop down and you should see the options.

I was trying to find an old thread I started in the Religion Room years ago.  In the past I could choose options for the search like posts by or threads by, user name and what room and it would narrow it down to a 10-20 threads and I could make a choice.

If the user is still here, it should still work Joe.  Just use the drop down to narrow to the content and search parameters you are wanting to look for.  Even still if the user were no longer here you should still be able to pull a thread by searching by room for the content, be sure to select to have the content in the body, should be a tab on the right for that.

Thanks it has brought me closer but I still need to play with it.  It's not giving me what I want.  I asked to see every thread I ever started in the Spiritual Room ( there only about 10).  I got a mess and it keeps asking me for "Please enter a term to search for, or at least one tag"

Yep, you can search just the room or select the dropdown for an advanced search.  With the advanced search you can search by user, but you will have to give the search some content to narrow it down and when you do you can elect to search the thread body.  I don't think it will allow you to just look up only the posts you created in one room but I have not played around with the search feature enough yet to know for sure.  There may be a way.

Yep...looks like all us old timers took a hit on post count.  No big deal though.

Sure is a lot easier to post now, including posting pics!  WTG Realtree!!!

Yeah, it sure beats posting pictures on another site and then posting the URL to them here.
