Turkeygirl
A friend helped me set up a scope on my TC Omega Z5 for this year and encouraged me to take it out instead of the shotgun. I was shooting Shockwaves out of it then I got Hornady SSTs to try this year. I have found an awesome load for the TC Omega Z5 - 100 grain triple 7 (2 pellets) and Hornady SST. I will have to post photos but when I got it sighted in at 100 yards, 2 shots in a row touching, in the bullseye. Even better, 2 does taken this season with this gun and load. I love this gun more than my shotgun now The deer don't run far. First doe (shot at 30-40 yards) ran maybe 20-30 yards. 2nd doe of the season (shot at 100-115 yards) ran maybe 10 yards. So if anyone is looking for load suggestions, here is my recommendation.
wtnhunt
That's cool Ruth. Congratulations on the does. Prefer the loose loads here, but yeah triple 7 in my accura has served me pretty well, using 115 grains. What weight bullets are you using? Running 240's here(still using xtp mags), have had good results at all ranges I have tried, close up inside 30 all the way out to nearly 200. Turkeygirl
The Hornady SSTs are 250 grain. Friend uses the XTPs with good results.
