coolbot?

Anyone heard of these https://www.storeitcold.com/ ?  It is a device that forces an ac(window type) unit to run much cooler and allows you to get temps down to walk in cooler temps.  The coolbot costs around $300 and have read that you can build about an 8x8 including the cost of lumber and ac unit for less than a grand.  Considering eventually building a walk in in my basement with one of these.

Sounds like a cool idea (no pun intended).  Never heard of it but if it works, it's a LOT cheaper than a walk in cooler.

We have a walk in cooler at the MS hunting club that was already there when we took over the lease.  We bought a small walk in cooler for our skinning room in Missouri that's big enough to hang 4 deer.  I think it's 4'x8' inside diameter.  The cost of that cooler was a lot more than the $ you're talking about with the "store it cold" cooler including the cost to build your 8'x8' room.  Keep in mind, you'll need some way to drain water after cleaning up the floor.  You WILL get blood on the floor that needs to be cleaned up after you process your deer or it will stink.  We have a drain in the MO skinning room but we have to sweep the water out of the walk in cooler when we clean the floor inside the cooler there.  It's stainless steel on the inside, including the floor.  The walk in cooler in MS has a drain inside the cooler and it has a concrete floor.  I think it's a 12'x8' cooler.

Very good point Al. I have a drain in the center of the basement floor in that section very close that i could tie into or wash out the door to. it is already sunken to that drain too.
