doubleA
I work a 12 hour rotating shift but my shifts are actually 12 hours and 30 minutes as they don't pay us for a 30 min lunch. The days are long and can get grueling but the rotation is what is hard on the body. We go from nights to days back to days to nights every 3-4 days. Shaun_300
I'm lucky to have regular hours, 7am - 4pm. Tuesday to Saturday, but Saturday is 8-1. Sunday and Monday off. Busy season sometimes I go in on Monday's and/or work 7am til 6pm and bank my hours.

Dawg
I'm on a 8a - 5:30p schedule most of the time. I rotate to the night shift (4:30p - 2:30a) every 8 weeks and rotate to the mid-day shift (12p - 9p) every 6 weeks. This week I'm on the night shift. wtnhunt
Worked midnights part time at ups for a couple years when I was in my early 20's, then after a couple hours of sleep would go to school, then after school work a part time day job and go home and sleep a couple hours after that job. Had split sleep, kind of rough, don't know if that is a factor in the sleep problems I have now or not. Had a couple other jobs over the years working night shift and second shift. Worked second in a factory for about 5 years, was not too bad a shift but missed a lot of family time with my oldest daughter and did not get much sleep. rbduck
For 14 years I have been working 12hr shifts. Two days at 7AM to 7PM then two nights 7PM to 7AM, then four off and repeat. This comes in handy during hunting season. I can book four off which actually gives me twelve off. Ron

Turkeygirl
I work 2 - 12 hr shifts a week, 11a-11p usually, but last night was a late one, didn't get out till almost 1am....that's more than enough night shift for me. In the past worked a couple 11p-7a shifts and once a 7a-7p. I am not a night person.

archerjg
I used to work 12 hour shifts which really ended up being 13 hours having to come in 30 minutes early and leave 30 minutes late for shift turnover to the next crew. After a few years of that I am on more normal work hours of 6 am to 2pm -3pm. Archerjg
