Turkeygirl
Anyone shooting 5-spot over the winter? I just started shooting a 5-spot league, first time shooting 5-spot, and I have to say it is like a weightlifter doing reps....it's a marathon! I'm also learning my thumb release while doing this so it is a challenge. Last week shot something like 271, this week 288. I forget the X count but both times I think in the low to mid 20s. dbHunterNY
i've shot 5-spot before but usually it's a vegas face for me. all the same though in that you take each end at a time. for a 300 round think of it like shooting 12 shoots just all in the same night. don't think about the one before or how many still to go. just think about the one you're shooting. Turkeygirl
This past week league changed to Vegas. Shot 416. Pulled one shot and got a zero. Sticking to working with this thumb release. I will say I am seeing improvement, just trying to work on finding a shot routine. So far I have found if I draw and anchor, thumb on the "button" and start pulling back, using more back tension, that I think I'm getting somewhere. Before I would draw, anchor, then basically squeeze my hand so to speak but was not consistent.

Been using the bowhunter series compound bowstrings from proline- So far I have found if I draw and anchor, thumb on the "button" and start pulling back, using more back tension, that I think I'm getting somewhere. I look at it like a 7 series championship rather than 1 game and out lol
